My Autobiography by Michael Normandy, Sr.
![]()
I have so many more stories from my Army career and the best story of how I met my wife, Nancy, but this book must come to a close for now. I want to thank my sister Priscilla for putting it together from a lot of old stories, and I want to thank her son Darrell for making the website pages and adding a lot of the music of my life and all those photos. If you want to know more of my stories, just ask me and I'll gladly share them with you. I'd like to hear your stories, too.
I want to close with our wedding picture so Priscilla can send my autobiography to my son for my 90th birthday.
I've been called by a lot of names in my life - Son, Mike, Buddy, Uncle, Dad, Grandpa and Pal. Whatever you call me, I want you to know I have appreciated having you in my life and am sending my love to all of you. God bless you from Nancy and me.

My Wedding to the Most Wonderful Girl in the World,
Nancy Carovinci

Performed by Nat King Cole
From the Album: Nat King Cole Sings Love Song for You
Stardust
And now the purple dusk of twilight time
Steals across the meadows of my heart
High up in the sky the little stars climb
Always reminding me that we're apart
You wander down the lane and far away
Leaving me a song that will not die
Love is now the stardust of yesterday
The music of the years gone by
Sometimes I wonder, how I spend
The lonely nights
Dreaming of a song
The melody
Haunts my reverie
And I am once again with you
When our love was new
And each kiss an inspiration
But that was long ago
And now my consolation
Is in the stardust of a song
Beside the garden wall
When stars are bright
You are in my arms
The nightingale
Tells his fairytale
Of paradise, where roses grew
Though I dream in vain
In my heart it will remain
My stardust melody
The memory of love's refrain
